16 ports 10/100/1000Base-T Unmanaged Switch

The ECS1020 Series is Edgecore's new unmanaged switch series. The ECS1020-16T/24 features 16/24 ports of 10/100/1000BASE-T, ECS1020-10P has 9 ports of 10/100/1000-Base-T + 1 SFP port, and the ECS1020-16P provides 16 PoE ports with 16 10/100/1000-Base-T ports. These switches deliver gigabit Ethernet connectivity from the network backbone to the edge and individual desktop endpoints. With speeds up to 10 times that of 100 Mb/s networks, these switches reduce the transfer time of large data files and enhance bandwidth-intensive applications, significantly improving overall network performance. Jumbo frame support allows for more efficient data transfer with packets up to 9 K bytes. The switches are easy to deploy and, with 10/100/1000 Mbps Auto MDI/MDIX ports, provide an ideal solution for network connectivity. Not only are the ports tri-speed, but all ports can connect to a workstation or another switch without requiring crossover cables. Supporting non-blocking wire-speed switching, these switches are designed to meet the growing performance demands of bandwidth-hungry applications in modern networks.

 

IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet Support
When two 802.3az-compliant switches are connected, power consumption on the ECS1020-16T/24T/10P/16P can be reduced by up to 61%, 65%, 46%, and 69%, respectively.

 

Jumbo Frame Support
Supports Jumbo frames up to 9 K bytes.

 

Auto MDI/MDIX on Every Port
Auto-MDIX support means no crossover cables are required. Straight-through cables can be used for all connections.

 

Supports VLAN Mode (ECS1020-16T only)

• No VLAN: Standard switch mode

• VLAN: Port 16 can communicate directly with ports 1–15; ports 1–15 cannot communicate with each other; port 16 uplink; ports 1–16 10/100/1000 Mbps Auto-Negotiation (100 M)

• VLAN (Monitor): Port 16 can communicate directly with ports 1–15; ports 1–15 cannot communicate with each other; port 16 uplink; ports 1–15 fixed at 10 Mbps, port 16 10/100/1000 Mbps Auto-Negotiation (250 M)

 

PoE Features
The ECS1020-10P/16P can deliver 802.3af power to devices such as VoIP phones, wireless access points, and security cameras connected to any Cat5 cable. The total PoE power budget on the ECS1020-10P/16P can support up to 140/300 watts.
