HDMI 2.0 not only maintains backward compatibility with previous versions but also offers up to 18 Gbps bandwidth, providing consumers with an advanced audio and video experience. HDMI 2.0 does not require a new cable or connector design. Modern High-Speed cables (Category 2) are capable of carrying higher bandwidth. HDMI 2.0 supports video resolutions much higher than 1080p systems. 4K resolution consists of 4000 horizontal lines and 2000 vertical lines, approximately four times the detail of 1080p.
