PLANET GSD-808HP2 IEEE 802.3at protocol PoE Ethernet Switches provide ideal solutions to meet high power PoE demands for network applications at Gigabit transmission level. Each of the 10/100/1000Mbps ports supports IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE features, and can distribute up to a maximum of 240 watts total power, with up to 30 watts per port. The device is specifically designed to meet the needs of PTZ (Pan, Tilt & Zoom)/Speed Dome network cameras, multi-channel (802.11a/b/g/n) wireless LAN Access points, and devices requiring high power consumption.

Automatic PoE Management

On the left side of the front panel of the GSD-808HP2, there are 2 orange LEDs. These LEDs act as PoE power usage indicators. Numbers 1-4 represent the output sections of PoE ports 1 to 4, and 5-8 represent the output sections of ports 5 to 8. When PoE output reaches 80%, LEDs for ports 1-4 and 5-8 light up, and if it reaches 95%, they blink to alert users. These LED indicators allow users to monitor PoE usage easily and effectively track the status of the GSD-808HP.

Energy Saving
The GSW-2404SF includes the following advanced eco-friendly technologies.

  The idle power saving mode on the GSD-808HP2 complies with IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and automatically reduces power to unused ports.

By transmitting both data and power through one cable unit, GSD-808HP2 eliminates the need for additional electrical outlets in walls, high places, and hard-to-reach areas. Carrying both data and power through the cable reduces installation costs, effort, and required workforce.

All RJ45 copper connection ports of the GSD-808HP2 provide 10/100/1000Mbps connections, and the automatic detection function via RJ45 connectors enables optimal speed detection with Cat 5, 5e, and 6 cables. It also includes standard automatic MDI/MDI-X features, allowing easy plug-and-play connections regardless of cable type, whether straight or crossover cables.
