8-Port 10/100/1000Mbps + 2-Port 100/1000X SFP Managed Ethernet Switch
Cost-effective IPv6 Gigabit Managed Switch Solutions for SMBs
To meet the demand for IPv6 network infrastructure, PLANET has introduced its IPv6 managed Gigabit Ethernet switch structure. The WGSD-10020 series supports IPv4 and IPv6 management functions. While working with the original IPv4 network structure, it also supports the next generation IPv6 structure. With its easy and user-friendly management interface, it includes many management functions. The WGSW-24040 series is the best choice for ISPs to connect to the IPv6 network with IPv6 FTTx edge service and SMB.

High Performance
WGSD-10020 offers 8 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet ports and 2 100/1000Base-X Gigabit SFP slots. The product provides a performance of up to 104Gbps through its high-performance switch architecture with a non-blocking structure and cable connection. Thus, it can respond to increasing broadband demands in LAN distribution and development. With its high-performance switch architecture and non-blocking structure, it provides high data rate of up to 20Gbps to meet increasing bandwidth demands in developing LANs.
Fanless Design
Adopting the latest chip technology and eco-friendly design, WGSD-10020 provides significant power efficiency with a fanless and silent design efficient cooling system. Additionally, WGSD-10020 can operate stably and silently in all environments without performance loss.

Multiple Application Variety
With its desktop-sized Layer 2/Layer 4 fully managed Gigabit Switch structure, the PLANET WGSD-10020 series can transfer large amounts of data at high speed (20Gbps) through a secure topology to a company backbone system or high-capacity network server. With the powerful QoS and network security offered by the WGSD-10020 series, it provides effective data traffic control, video streaming, VoIP, and multi-tasking features for companies and ISPs. The product is ideal for remote access layers of campus and corporate networks or IP clustering of metropolitan networks.
Robust Layer 2 Features
The WGSD-10020 series can be programmed for switch management functions such as dynamic port link aggregation, Q-in-Q VLAN, Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP), Layer 2 to 4 QoS, bandwidth control, and IGMP snooping. The WGSD-10020 series provides 802.1Q tagged VLAN and supports up to 255 VLAN groups. Through the combination of supported connection ports, the WGSD-10020 series enables a high-speed operating environment by combining multiple ports. The product allows port trunking up to 10 ports in 5 groups and provides fail-over support.

Advanced Security
To keep security at its peak, the WGSD-10020 series offers a comprehensive Layer 2 to Layer 4 Access Control List (ACL). In this way, it can be used to restrict network access by rejecting packets based on source and destination IP address, TCP/UDP ports, or defined typical network applications. The product's protection mechanism also includes 802.1x port-based and MAC-based user and device authentication. With the Private VLAN function, communication between edge ports can be restricted to ensure user privacy. The new WGSD-10020 series also provides IP surveillance prevention, rejecting ARP packets with invalid MAC addresses, DHCP snooping, IP source guard, and Dynamic ARP Inspection features, allowing network administrators to build highly secure corporate networks with much less time and effort than before.
Excellent Traffic Control
WGSD-10020 comes with powerful traffic management and QoS features to enhance SMB connectivity services. QoS features include Layer 4 traffic classifiers and bandwidth limitation via cable connections, particularly useful for multi-user units, multi-business units, Telcos, VoIP, uninterrupted video and audio streaming, and other network service provider applications.
Efficient and Secure Management Features
For efficient management, the WGSD-10020 series managed Ethernet switch is equipped with console, WEB, and SNMP interfaces. With the built-in web-based interface, the WGSD-10020 series offers easy usage, platform-independent management, and configuration. The WGSD-10020 series supports the standard network management protocol (SNMP) and can be managed via any standard-based management software. For text-based management, WGSD-10020 can be accessed via Telnet and console port. Additionally, the WGSD-10020 series supports SSH, SSL, and SNMPv3 connections to encrypt packet content per session and offers secure remote management access.
Extension and Flexibility Solutions
The WGSD-10020 series includes 2 built-in mini-GBIC slots and supports 100Base-FX or 1000Base-SX/LX SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) fiber optic modules. Thus, administrators can now select the appropriate SFP transceiver not only by signal distance but also by required transmission speed. The distance can be extended from 550m (via multi-mode fiber) to 10/50/70/120 kilometers (via single-mode fiber or WDM fiber). These setups are ideal for enterprise data centers and their extensions.
Eco-friendly Green Network
In line with the worldwide trend of energy saving, WGSD-10020 adapts the new generation green technology to provide energy savings along with Gigabit performance. The new device design consumes up to 60% less energy without sacrificing performance and offers flexible power-saving options for required situations.
Department / Edge Switch with Security and QoS Features for SMBs
The WGSD-10020 series can connect up to 10 high-speed workstations around Ethernet. With 2 SFP mini-GBIC interfaces, it provides uplink to the department backbone. Moreover, the switch structure and bandwidth delivering 20Gbps data rate per second provide backbone connectivity. The WGSD-10020 series enhances network activity and user security by offering the following features:
• IPv6 / IPv4 management
• Layer 2 to Layer 4 security
• QoS
• 802.1x port-based and MAC-based access control
• Multicast IGMP Snooping
The advanced functionality of WGSD-10020 eliminates traditional problems with its Ethernet structure. User segmentation with advanced VLAN functionality increases security. This makes the WGSD-10020 one of the most cost-effective and successful products for businesses.

FTTx / MAN Applications
Using double-tagged VLAN technology, the WGSD-10020 series allows service providers to deliver traffic to customers' networks at low costs and with easy operation. It includes SNMPv3 and RMON groups as features. The SNMPv3 structure forms a secure setup, ensuring each model has its own security level. With two built-in multi-speed SFP slots, deployment distance can be extended from 550 meters (via multi-mode fiber) to 10/50/70/120 kilometers (via single-mode fiber), offering edge solutions for high-speed FTTX setups. Internet providers can use the product to deliver fiber infrastructure to homes (FTTH), curbs (FTTC), or business buildings (FTTB), offering solutions according to different SFP distances (small-form factor) and optional BiDi (WDM) transceivers tailored to customer needs. For security and various applications, the WGSD-10020 series’ 10 Gigabit ports can be managed through VLAN settings, enabling connectivity from different units such as offices, homes, and departments.
