The opto-isolated interface converter is fully compatible with RS-232C, RS-422, and RS-485 standards, and converts a single RS-232 signal into balanced RS-422 or RS-485 signals. The integrated opto-isolated circuit provides 3500V isolation and secondary-level TVS support. This feature enables the device to provide ESD, 1000W lightning strike, and surge protection, applied individually to each line.
