IDS-5042 Series – 4-Port RS-232/422/485 to Dual LAN Secure Device Server
The IDS-5042 Series is an innovative and secure 4-port RS-232/422/485 to dual LAN device server, equipped with standard device server features such as TCP/IP interface and multiple operation modes including Virtual COM, Serial Tunnel, TCP Server, TCP Client, and UDP.
The Windows utility DS-Tool allows users to configure multiple devices and manage Virtual COM port mappings easily.
With features such as NAT Router Pass-Through, DDNS, and PPPoE, administrators can remotely configure ORing device servers through the Internet, even across different IP domains behind NAT routers or modems.
The IDS-5042 Series can simultaneously transfer data to up to five redundant hosts, ensuring reliable communication even in case of Ethernet link or host failures.
It also includes HTTPS, SSH, and SSL encryption to guarantee the security of critical data transmission.
The device supports RS-232/422/485 communication and provides dual redundant 12–48 VDC power inputs via a terminal block to ensure continuous operation.
The IDS-5042+ model also supports PoE P.D. (Power Device) operation with 1 kV isolation protection on the PoE port.
Designed for harsh industrial environments, the IDS-5042 Series features an IP30 rugged housing and operates over a wide temperature range of -10°C to 70°C.
It is an ideal solution for secure and reliable serial-to-Ethernet communication in critical applications.
