System Overview

Functions
1. Four Signals over One Coaxial Cable
HDCVI technology supports simultaneous transmission of four signals—video, audio*, data, and power—over a single coaxial cable. Two-way data transmission allows the HDCVI camera to interact with the HCVR, such as sending control signals or triggering alarms. In addition, HDCVI technology supports PoC (Power over Coax) for flexible system design.
Audio input is available on select HDCVI camera models.
Long Distance Transmission
HDCVI technology guarantees real-time transmission over long distances without any signal loss. It supports transmission up to 800m (1080P) / 1200m (720P) via coaxial cable, and up to 300m (1080P) / 450m (720P) via UTP cable.*

Simplicity
HDCVI technology inherits the simplicity of traditional analog surveillance systems, making it the best choice for investment protection. The HDCVI system can seamlessly upgrade existing analog systems without replacing existing coaxial cables. Its plug-and-play approach enables effortless Full HD video surveillance without the need for network configuration.
Smart IR
The camera is designed with microcrystalline IR LEDs to provide optimal IR illumination and excellent low-light performance. Smart IR technology ensures brightness uniformity in B/W images under low illumination. Dahua’s unique Smart IR automatically adjusts the intensity of the camera’s infrared LEDs to compensate for object distance and prevent overexposure as objects move closer to the camera.
Multiple Formats
The camera supports multiple video formats, including HDCVI, CVBS, and two other popular HD analog formats. These four formats can be switched via the OSD menu or PFM820 (UTC controller). This feature makes the camera compatible not only with HCVRs but also with most existing HD/SD DVRs used by end users.
Multilingual OSD
The OSD menu provides multiple image and function settings to meet various monitoring requirements. It includes configurations for backlight mode, day/night, white balance, and privacy mask. The camera supports 11 OSD menu languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Polish.
Protection
The camera’s outstanding reliability is ensured by its robust design. With an IP67 rating, the camera is water- and dust-resistant, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +60°C (-40°F to +140°F), ensuring reliable performance in extreme environments. Supporting ±25% input voltage tolerance, the camera is suitable even for unstable power conditions. A 4KV lightning rating provides protection against lightning and surge effects on the camera and its structure.
