Stock Code: KX1084

upTech KX1084 is a 4-channel telephone over fiber optic converter that supports connections between FXS and FXO. It provides real-time synchronization, distortion-free, and high-quality telephone transmission to meet user requirements. The optical module and core circuit adopt imported components with high stability, and all optical and electrical interfaces comply with international standards applied to different operating environments.
Installation Procedures
• Connect telephones to the transmitter via RJ11 ports
• Connect the PBX to the receiver via RJ11 ports
• Connect the fiber optic cable between the transmitter and the receiver
• Apply power supply to both the transmitter and the receiver
• When powered on, the yellow power LED will light up, indicating the presence of operating power
Troubleshooting
• Optical Fiber
The series is available for most applications using serial single-mode optical fibers. Please ensure that the correct size and type of fiber is used for the specific transmitter/receiver combination, and also verify that the attenuation and bandwidth of the fiber optic cable being used fall within the system’s loss budget specifications.
General
• Any dirt or dust can easily contaminate the fiber or prevent it from properly accepting or transmitting light. Therefore, always try to keep the optical connector clean and use dust caps whenever the connector is exposed to air. It is recommended to periodically clean the optical end, then verify that all connections are properly made, input and output are not mixed up, and that the transmitter and receiver are not placed in incorrect positions.
Caution!
• The transmitter unit contains a light-emitting diode within the optical connectors. This device emits invisible infrared electromagnetic radiation that may be harmful to human eyes. Radiation from these optical connectors, when viewed closely without a fiber optic cable attached, can cause instant retinal damage. Therefore, direct viewing of the LED should always be avoided.
