Catches smoke along a beam line in tall, open spaces.
A linear beam smoke detector for tall indoor spaces with large open volumes. It forms a beam between 5 m and 100 m from transmitter to receiver and watches the smoke density along that line. It draws about 30 mA from a 24 V DC supply.
