Turns a USB port into an RS-232 serial port on a 1 m cable.
The USB 2.0 to RS-232 converter carries a DB-9 RS-232 connector on the end of its 1 m cable. It links serial hardware such as mobile phones, PDAs, digital cameras, modems and ISDN terminal devices to the USB port of a computer, and runs on the FTDI FT232RL chipset.
