Why isn’t the signal received if the device is next to a fixed iPhone?
“If the device is constantly next to a single iPhone, tracking can only be performed at certain intervals. Apple security prevents the same iPhone from continuously sending location data for a nearby tag. The device transmits location information more frequently and accurately when it communicates with other Apple devices. Additionally, if the tag is always near the same Apple device, that Apple device will notify its user about tracking. If tracking is disabled, the location will no longer be sent via that tag from the same Apple device.”
