High Performance and Reliability
Superior 802.11ac Wireless Performance
The RG-AP630 Outdoor AP Series supports 802.11n @ 2.4GHz and 802.11ac @ 5GHz, delivering access speeds of up to 1.75Gbps. Its outstanding wireless performance greatly optimizes user experience, increases the number of concurrent users, and enhances signal coverage.
Built-in Cutting-edge X-Sense Smart Antenna
For additional flexibility, two AP models are available – the RG-AP630(IDA) with a built-in directional antenna and the RG-AP630(IODA) with a built-in omnidirectional antenna. Both antennas achieve real-time beam switching to ensure the best wireless experience regardless of client device location. The APs also support flexible switching between internal and external antennas to adapt to any deployment scenario.

Industry’s Most Flexible Gigabit Uplink
The APs provide one 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet uplink port and one Gigabit SFP combo port. The former enables PoE deployment, while the latter handles data transmission workloads. This design removes the LAN port bottleneck, offering more flexible and convenient networking options.
Unique PoE OUT Design
Supporting a unique PoE OUT function, both outdoor APs can directly power surveillance equipment at deployment sites. Video surveillance data can be transmitted back to the control center in real-time via wired or wireless networks. This feature not only reduces the complexity of installing surveillance devices but also lowers cabling costs. When an optional Ruijie HPoE Switch (supporting up to 90W output) is deployed, the APs can power other 802.3at PDs through the ETH2/PoE OUT port while simultaneously transmitting data back to the uplink port.

Easy-to-use Mounting Kit
An adjustable mounting kit is included by default for effortless deployment optimization. The APs can be easily adjusted horizontally (-60° to 60°) and vertically (-60° to 90°) to fit various scenarios.

All-in-one Package for Hassle-free Deployment
The RG-AP630 Outdoor AP Series comes with a one-stop installation package. Everything needed for smooth outdoor deployment, from external antennas to lightning arresters and coaxial cables, is included.

Flexible WDS Mode
The APs support WDS (Wireless Distribution System) for interconnecting multiple APs or wireless bridging with up to 5 hops, even over long distances. The outdoor APs also support point-to-multipoint bridging (CPE scenarios), enabling flexible networking and overcoming outdoor deployment challenges to deliver large-scale, high-speed wireless coverage.
Smart Device Recognition
The APs intelligently identify client devices running mainstream operating systems such as iOS and Android.
Industry-leading Local Forwarding Technology
Using advanced local forwarding technology, the APs eliminate traffic bottlenecks on wireless controllers. When deployed with Ruijie RG-WS Wireless Controller Series, the forwarding mode of outdoor APs can be preconfigured flexibly. The APs can determine whether to forward traffic through the controller or locally. This significantly reduces controller load while meeting high-throughput demands of 802.11ac networks, supporting large-scale, latency-sensitive, and real-time traffic transmission.
Seamless Roaming Experience
The APs integrate seamlessly with RG-WS Wireless Controllers, enabling uninterrupted roaming across Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks.
Comprehensive QoS Policies
The APs support a wide range of QoS policies, such as WLAN/AP/STA-based bandwidth limitation and prioritization of critical services.
Outstanding Environmental Adaptability
With an IP67-rated enclosure, the outdoor APs are waterproof, dustproof, moisture-resistant, and flame-retardant, ensuring durability in harsh environments such as wind erosion, heavy rain, and high humidity. These features greatly extend equipment lifespan and reduce maintenance costs.
Wide Operating Temperature Range
All components and enclosures are designed to operate reliably between -40°C and 85°C without affecting stability or lifespan. The design enables efficient heat dissipation at high temperatures, while the built-in heater module guarantees stable performance under freezing conditions.
Comprehensive Security Policies
User Data Encryption
The APs support the latest encryption technologies such as WEP, TKIP, and AES to secure wireless data transmission.
Virtual AP Technology
Each AP supports up to 16 ESSIDs (per radio) and 16 VLANs (802.1Q). Network administrators can isolate or encrypt subnets and VLANs with the same SSID. Separate authentication and encryption mechanisms can be configured for each SSID.
Standard CAPWAP Encryption
CAPWAP ensures secure communication between outdoor APs and RG-WS Wireless Controllers.
RF Security
In cooperation with Ruijie’s RG-SNC Smart Network Commander and RG-WS Controllers, the APs activate RF probing to detect unauthorized APs and interference sources, alerting administrators of potential threats.
User Access Control
The APs support multiple authentication methods including Web, 802.1x, MAC address, and local authentication. They also support Ruijie’s advanced Security Management Platform (SMP) BYOD solution, providing access control, authorization, compliance checks, behavior monitoring, and attack defense.
Wireless Protection
Together with RG-SNC and RG-WS controllers, the APs deliver strong wireless security features such as Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS), RF Interference Location, Rogue AP Countermeasures, Anti-ARP Spoofing, and DHCP protection, ensuring a secure and reliable wireless network.
Wireless IPv6 Access
The APs provide full IPv6 capabilities for wireless transmission. Both IPv4 and IPv6 clients can connect via AC tunnels, enabling IPv6 applications over wireless networks.
Flexible Authentication Modes
Supported authentication methods include PEAP, SMS Authentication, and QR Code Authentication:
PEAP: Users authenticate with a password only once, required only during the first connection.
SMS: Users log in with their phone number and receive username/password credentials via SMS.
QR Code: After connecting, users receive a QR code on their device, which must be scanned by authorized personnel for network access.
Flexible Device Management Mode
Seamless Switch Between FAT and FIT Modes
The APs support both FAT and FIT modes to meet different networking requirements. FAT mode is suitable for small-scale independent deployments, while FIT mode works with RG-WS Controllers for centralized management of APs, security, traffic, QoS, and IP management. Transition between modes is seamless, protecting user investment.
Zero-Configuration Deployment
In FIT mode, APs require no pre-configuration. On-site installation, maintenance, or replacement requires no manual setup as configuration is automatically completed via the AC. This greatly reduces workload and costs.
Comprehensive Remote Management
With RG-WS Controllers or Cloud AC, administrators can centrally manage all AP operations such as channel, power, SSID, security, and VLAN configuration remotely, simplifying wireless network management.
PoE Port for Easy Deployment and Maintenance
The outdoor APs support 802.3at PoE. By connecting to a PoE switch or adapter through the Ethernet port, the APs receive power while supporting data transmission. Remote configuration can be performed by network administrators, solving unstable power supply issues, simplifying installation, and reducing costs.
