Finds and verifies the route of an underground cable.
The transmitter drives a multi-frequency pulse onto the line and the receiver traces that signal from the surface to map the route. It works on single conductors, twisted pairs, telephone cables and de-energized electrical cables. A rechargeable lithium battery keeps the transmitter running through a long shift.
