Stock Code: MS-POE-KIT
MicroScanner PoE Features
· Quickly determine whether a problem is caused by a bad or unconnected cable, insufficient power, or a Powered Device (PD).
· Provides information for the Network Engineer to investigate possible switch configurations or failures.
· PoE Switch Verification – Reports the PoE class (0–8) to determine whether a switch port can provide sufficient power.
· Powered Pairs – Graphically identifies powered pairs. Includes Dual Signature where a switch port provides power on 2 or 4 pairs (802.3bt or PoE++).
· Active Switch Detection – Determines if a cable is connected to a switch port and identifies port speed up to 10G.
· Cable Testing – Detects shorts, opens, or crossed wires at either end, measures the length of each pair, and sends tones to locate cables.
· Verify and troubleshoot your Industrial Ethernet copper cabling.
· PoE Injector Verification – Displays injector voltage level.
MicroScanner Series Features
· Simple Interface – Graphical cable map, length, cable ID, and distance to fault are displayed on a single screen.
· Multimedia Support – Tests all common media types including RJ11, RJ45, and Coax (MS2 only) without requiring adapters.
· IntelliTone Toning – Track almost any cable or wire pair with IntelliTone digital and analog toning.
· VDV Service Detection – Verifies today’s media services including 10/100/1000 Ethernet, POTS, and PoE.
· Large Display – Big, backlit LCD shows results with crystal clarity whether in bright sunlight or a dark closet.
· Magnetic Strap (included in MicroScanner kits) – Allows technicians to work hands-free and keeps the tester secure against potential drops and accidents with a strong rare-earth magnet.
Streamlined Verification Testing
The MicroScanner™ Cable Verifier series simplifies testing of voice, data, and video cables. It starts by gathering results from four different test modes and displaying them all at once—graphical cable map, pair lengths, distance to fault, cable ID, and remote device. What’s more, it supports nearly every type of low-voltage cable test without the need for awkward adapters. The result is reduced test time and fewer technician errors, making high-quality installations more efficient than ever.
Resolve Service Issues Quickly
Today’s communications technicians deal with much more than just cabling issues. Before determining the cause of a connection problem, they must rule out a host of potential cable and service issues. The MicroScanner Cable Verifier series is equipped to answer these questions and shorten troubleshooting time. Is there telephone voltage present? What’s the polarity? Is there an Ethernet switch at the far end? Is PoE available? If PoE is available, is it enough to power my device? The MicroScanner Series addresses these questions, giving technicians visibility to verify today’s most common voice, data, and video services. That means faster and more thorough troubleshooting.
