Industrial Managed Device Server
The IDS Series is the latest 1/4 port RS232/422/485-to-fiber or 1/2 port LAN or 802.11b/g WLAN device server. You can configure your device with DS-Tool software using the LAN port or WLAN interface. With its rich features, this device offers reliable functions for your hardware and software. In the event of a master-link (main line) connection failure, the IDS Series redirects to the other LAN port within 10ms, preventing your connection from dropping and providing a reliable, continuous connection. Secondly, the IDS series transfers data to 5 host computers simultaneously, guaranteeing the security of this critical data—which is recorded on 5 different computers—against connection failures and PC-related problems. Thirdly, the IDS Series provides dual redundant power input via a terminal block or power jack. (The system operates with 2 power supplies; if the first power supply fails or cannot fulfill its duty, the second source takes over and the system continues to operate without interruption.) It also supports switch mode (for 2-port LAN models). Ethernet switch port usage can be reduced by using Daisy Chain connections. With the NAT feature, NAT router management is possible from both the inside and outside. The IDS-5600 Series protects data with SSL encryption technology by providing a security function. The IDS Series is the best communication solution for 1/4 port serial devices in both wired and wireless applications.
