The transmitter injects a 125 kHz signal onto the line and the receiver follows it to map cables, power lines and pipes buried in a wall or in the ground. The same unit measures circuit voltage from 12 to 400 V AC/DC and warns on high voltage. Transmitter and receiver each show signal strength and battery state on their own backlit display.
