Traces de-energized cables behind walls and underground.
The transmitter injects a 200 kHz tone onto the line and the receiver follows that tone from the surface to map the cable route. Clip tips attach to electrical wires, CATV coax, telephone drops, irrigation control pipes or metallic pipes. It verifies where a line runs before any drilling or digging starts.
