RS232 - RS422/485 Isolated Converter 3500V
The ATC-105 Isolated Interface Converter is compatible with RS-232C, RS-422, and RS-485 standards, capable of converting a single-ended RS-232 signal into a balanced RS-422 or RS-485 signal.
Its built-in photoelectric isolator provides 3500V isolation voltage, while the integrated Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) effectively prevents lightning strikes, ESD, and common-mode interference, ensuring reliable signal protection.
A PC, IPC, or laptop connects via a DB9 female RS-232 interface, while the RS-422/485 side connects through a 4-pin terminal block.
RS-485 supports half-duplex (two-wire) communication. The internal circuit automatically detects data direction and switches accordingly, without requiring handshake signals.
This auto-sensing RS-485 control is completely transparent, requiring no software modification for systems previously using RS-232.
The ATC-105 provides a reliable connection for point-to-point and multipoint communication.
In multipoint configurations, it allows up to 128 RS-422 or RS-485 devices to connect with data rates up to 115.2 Kbps.
Three LED indicators display power and data flow status, helping identify system faults.
It supports both RS-232 to RS-422 and RS-232 to RS-485 conversion modes.
