The ATC-109N data repeater is a type of opto-isolated data transmission product for RS-422/RS-485. It can be used in combination with the ATC-108 Opto-Isolation Interface Converter. The ATC-109N data repeater can extend the communication distance of an RS-422/RS-485 bus network and increase the number of RS-422/RS-485 bus network devices. The internal circuit of the ATC-109N Opto-Isolation Data Repeater can detect data direction and automatically switch to control it without any handshake signal to form an RS-485 network. This type of RS-485 control is completely transparent, so there is no need to change the software for an old network based on RS-422/485 operating modes. The built-in opto-isolator and DC/DC converter can provide a 3500V isolation voltage, and the fast Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) can effectively prevent lightning and ESD. It provides 1000W lightning strike and surge protection power on each line, preventing lightning strikes and common-mode interference.
